The overall design of the shoe I’ve always liked. Out of the three color ways that released, the red color-way is my second favorite with the black sitting at the top of the list. In comparison to the black color way the all-red style appears to look very bulky on feet with its signature details becoming somewhat indistinguishable. I guess the theory that the color black makes things seem thinner is at work. Though, I’ve never owned a pair of the Nike Air Yeezy 2′s, in my opinion due to the shape of the shoe I’ve always viewed them strictly as an athletic sneaker. I feel they lack the ability to be worn versatilely, meaning you can’t dress them up or dress them down without looking like Kanye West. Even with that said, if I had the opportunity to get a pair I would jump on it. For any Kanye West fan including myself, this sneaker truly marks the end of the Yeezy x Nike era, which automatically makes it a collectible for the ages. Well, that is until Nike gives it the retro treatment.
In regards to how Nike chose to release the sneaker, I think Nike did the only logical and fair thing they could do. Make it an unannounced surprise release. By releasing them on a Sunday without any sort of warning, it allowed for the honest customer to have a very lucky but fair shot. As it stripped power away from the greedy store owners and tech savy people with computer bots.
Hi Kassim, the coat I was wearing at the En Noir show was a Burberry Prorsum felt patch topcoat ($2,895) in military olive from the Fall/Winter 2013 Collection. See it here.
I haven’t been to Japan before but I would like to visit…Hopefully in the near future.
Hi, when the Rick Owens by Adidas collaborative sneaker ($690-$790) was announced I was very interested. But my interest waned when the first images of the sneaker were released and even more so once it hit shelves last month. Personally, I’m not a fan of abstract shaped shoes because they usually tend to lean more towards the trendy side and I prefer a more classic sleek shape. And even though, this particular sneaker does feature that classic sleek upper that I like, it gets a bit funky and crazy to me with the oversized chunky outsole. Therefore making it difficult to work these sneakers in to my personal style and quite limiting, in regards to, what it can be worn with. However, this sneaker definitely garners attention and I have seen them on numerous people and celebs such as A$AP Rocky who have easily incorporated it into their looks quite successfully.
The jacket that I have on is a Burberry Prorsum felt patch pocket utility jacket ($1,795) in military olive from the Fall/Winter 2014 Collection. See it here.
In the Wanderlust pt. 7 photo I’m wearing a dark blue washed BLK DNM classic button shirt ($225) layered over a heather grey Fear of God LA First Collection essential tank-top ($105). Check it out here.
Hi, No I don’t personal style but instead I give direction by way of consulting. Shout out to all my fans from Germany!!!!!!!
Hi, the only Fear of God LA pieces I own that I wash would be the First Collection basic essential tank-tops ($105). I simply machine wash them in cold water and tumble dry them immediately. From my understanding, I believe that they’re all pre-washed so you shouldnt experience any shrinkage.
